With Gratitude,
Together We Grow
Thank you for standing with us as we journey toward our permanent Nepalese home in Greater Sydney.
We are delighted to open this month’s edition with an exciting announcement. Please mark your calendars for 28 November, when GSNMC hosts a major Fundraising and Members’ Appreciation Night at one of Sydney’s premier venues.
Designed as a true GSNMC Family Night, the evening will feature incredible performances and appearances by renowned artists and social activists from Nepal. Full event details and ticket information will be released in our next newsletter, with further updates coming soon. We look forward to welcoming you to a memorable evening of celebration.
We express our deepest gratitude to our Life Members, our entire team, our volunteers and our broader community leaders, who truly understand the vital need for a dedicated Nepalese Multicultural Centre in Greater Sydney — a place where we can celebrate our heritage under one roof.
A Proud Milestone for GSNMC!
GSNMC is officially registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)!
This is an important milestone in our journey towards building a vibrant Nepalese multicultural hub in Greater Sydney. It reflects our commitment to community service, cultural connection, inclusion and creating lasting benefits for future generations.
This achievement belongs to every member, supporter, volunteer and well-wisher who believes in our vision. Together, we are turning our shared dream into reality.
One vision. One community. A brighter future together! 🇳🇵❤️🇦🇺
Project Progress & Fund Status
Thanks to the incredible support of the wider Sydney Nepalese community, our fund position now stands at approximately $3.2 Million AUD ($1.2M raised plus $2M in pledges). This monumental achievement is powered by:

our next target
The Next Target: To secure the right size of land for GSNMC, we require a minimum of $4 Million AUD in liquid funds. To achieve this, our Life Membership drive needs to gain significant momentum in the days ahead.
At GSNMC, we are committed to the highest standards of financial accountability, transparency and responsible stewardship. Every dollar raised through our Life Membership drive is strictly ring-fenced exclusively for the acquisition of land for GSNMC. This ensures our members’ contributions remain dedicated to securing a permanent home for our community and building a lasting legacy for future generations.
We sincerely thank every member, donor and supporter for their trust, generosity and belief in our vision. Your contribution today is an investment in our community’s future. Together, we are building a legacy that will last for generations.
A Heartfelt Welcome to Our Newest GSNMC Life Members!
Throughout September, our team worked tirelessly to move our Life Membership drive forward — and for good reason. Life Membership is one of the most vital lifelines sustaining the GSNMC project and turning our shared vision into reality.
Thanks to that dedicated effort, we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate and welcome the newest members who joined our GSNMC family this past month!
We truly believe the proposed Nepalese Multicultural Centre in Greater Sydney will bridge the gap for our younger generations, helping them understand their heritage while strengthening the bonds of community and brotherhood across Greater Sydney and Australia as a whole.
A Special Request to Our Members
We humbly request each of our current Life Members to inspire at least one family member or friend from their close network to join the GSNMC family as a Life Member. This is a realistic and highly achievable target that will instantly double our current membership numbers and bring us within arm’s reach of our land-purchase goal.

Land Search & Government Advocacy
Our Land Research Committee is working diligently to shortlist suitable parcels of land across the north-western and south-western outskirts of Greater Sydney. Concurrently, our executive team is holding ongoing consultative meetings with local councils, government stakeholders and political leaders to garner institutional support.
Project Milestone & Upcoming Focus
Each stage will have sub-stages and processes with deadlines.
Our primary focus will remain on strategic collaboration with local Nepalese community groups to actively promote and expand our Life Membership base.
Fundraising Campaign Continued
Throughout the past month, our team actively engaged at local events to raise awareness, secure vital funds and accelerate our GSNMC Life Membership drive.
Taking our mission to the grassroots level through direct meetings with local Nepalese leaders and organisations remains our most powerful strategy. By partnering with these trusted groups, we are uniting our wider community to elevate the GSNMC project to new heights.
On 27 November, the Nepalese Australian Association (NAA) celebrates its signature 50th anniversary, a milestone that reflects the history of Nepalese settlement in Australia. Through this partnership with GSNMC, the NAA aims to contribute $100,000+ towards the Centre.
We warmly invite our Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) to collaborate with us, and we ask our wider community to support this occasion in every way possible — and to join us on 27 November as well.

Promoting our upcoming Members’ Appreciation Night to the local business communityWebsite Upgrade
GSNMC has taken an important step forward in strengthening its digital presence with the launch of its upgraded website and a dedicated online membership portal.
The improved platform is designed to make it easier for individuals, families and organisations to learn about GSNMC, explore its vision and initiatives, and apply for Life Membership online. With a more streamlined application process, centralised membership information and a more user-friendly experience, the new system will help improve application management, communication and administrative efficiency as our membership community continues to grow.
This digital upgrade reflects GSNMC’s commitment to building a more connected, accessible and well-organised organisation as we work together towards our vision of establishing a vibrant Nepalese multicultural hub in Greater Sydney.
Our Vision
The Greater Sydney Nepalese Multicultural Centre is envisioned as a shared socio-cultural hub for the diverse Nepalese community in Sydney and beyond. We see a future where Nepalese traditions blend seamlessly with Australian values, fostering a harmonious, vibrant and unified community.
We are committed to preserving the Nepalese language, culture and heritage while contributing meaningfully to Australia’s multicultural tapestry. Through this initiative, our future generations will inherit a proud legacy.
The proposed Centre will feature a “Mini-Nepal” model, thoughtfully designed with state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate our diverse religious rituals, cultural traditions and proud history.
